SunDeck Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 25, 2026
SunDeck is designed as a local-first app. SunDeck does not require an account and does not operate an app backend that receives your profile, tanning history, photos, or location.
1. Data Stored on Your Device
The app can store the following inside its local app container:
- profile and tanning preferences
- selected guide and product preferences
- planned and completed session history
- optional before and after photos
- reminder settings and active timer state
- the last locally calculated UV estimate
SunDeck does not upload this information to a SunDeck server.
2. Sticker Catalog
SunDeck may download a public, static LINE sticker catalog and sticker images from sundeck.esangdan.com. This request does not include your SunDeck profile, location, tanning history, photos, or a LINE account. As with any web request, the hosting provider may process standard connection data such as IP address, request time, and device network headers for delivery and security. The catalog and images may be cached on your device.
3. Location
When you grant permission, SunDeck reads device location to calculate sun angle and a conservative clear-sky UV estimate on the device. The app does not send the coordinates to SunDeck or a weather provider.
You can revoke location permission in device settings. Without location, location-based UV estimation is unavailable.
4. Photos
Photos you choose or take are copied into the app's local documents directory. They are not uploaded by SunDeck.
5. System Backup
Your operating system may include eligible SunDeck app data in its normal encrypted device backup, such as iCloud Backup or Android Auto Backup, depending on your device, account, storage, and backup settings. This is controlled by Apple or Google and the user, not by a SunDeck account.
SunDeck does not guarantee that an operating-system backup will occur or that every item will be restored.
6. External Links
SunDeck may open an external LINE sticker store page when you tap a sticker link. After leaving SunDeck, LINE or your browser handles information according to its own policies. SunDeck does not receive purchase information from LINE.
7. Deletion
Use Profile > Delete local data to remove the local profile, history, photos, and settings from the current device. Uninstalling the app also removes local app data, subject to any separate operating-system backup retained by the user's platform.
8. Children
SunDeck is not intended for children who cannot legally consent to digital services in their country.
9. Security
Local data is protected by the security controls of your device and operating system. Keep your device passcode and platform account secure.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when app behavior changes. The effective date will be updated.
